I am an outsider in the field of traditional medicine. At the age when my hair begins to turn gray and my health starts to decline, I have started to study medical texts, similar to how the ancient scholar Hai Thuong, after retiring from his official duties, returned to his hometown to study medical texts.

Because classical Chinese medical texts are very difficult to read and require continuous word lookup and the combination of specialized terminology, the need to constantly switch tabs to look up words has interrupted the flow of thought and contemplation—something that is highly demanded when studying medicine and researching ancient Chinese texts. I remember there used to be a software called Lac Viet Dictionary, which allowed for easy English word lookup with any application, as long as you highlighted the word and right-clicked to select "Look Up Meaning." I have searched everywhere on the Internet and GitHub but found no application like that for Han-Viet. Perhaps it's too niche, and with fewer users, there are fewer developers. Mostly, only traditional healers, doctors, scholars, monks, and researchers of Han Nôm still read this kind of literature.

To save time, and thanks to great support from AI technology, I have created a small application specifically for searching for Han-Viet meanings to read and translate texts quickly. I have released this version for FREE for the Han-Viet community to use forever without any fees, and the dictionary data will be continuously updated until I can no longer maintain it, and if someone continues the work, they will still receive the dictionary data for FREE forever.

However, I later noticed a problem: many people also want to read medical texts for research and healing but do not understand classical Chinese, leading them to depend heavily on AI for translation. Most use the free version of AI to translate just a sentence or two. The semantic output of the AI translations is often hard to understand, even misrepresenting meanings, which is very dangerous since medical knowledge is related to human health.

If someone is passionate, they might pay for AI translation, and many will do this. AI may translate the same sentence for dozens or even hundreds of people, and each time the translation could differ, without being edited and checked by someone knowledgeable in the medical principles. Therefore, I have decided to develop a PRO version, adding a translation section focusing on translations specially for Traditional Medicine. The phrases will be compiled and edited by experts, traditional healers, doctors, and those with high professional experience.

I aim to create a standardized data center according to Traditional Medicine, where translated data is accepted by many experts and research institutions. This is why the Pro Antique Character version was developed, intending to save resources; if the same high-quality translation is accepted by many, there is no need for AI translation anymore.

It may initially take time for the specialized terms to be accurately translated, but I am diligently working day and night to ensure accuracy. When more people start using and paying for the PRO version, I can then pay more experts to work together, contributing to creating the most accurate data reform. From here, I hope to build a good system for Traditional Medicine.
