DriveClue is an open-source macOS application that helps you understand the health status of your drive rather than having to read the complex S.M.A.R.T. or NVMe parameters yourself. The application aggregates overall health, SSD lifespan, temperature, and any unusual signs on an easy-to-follow dashboard, while still allowing you to view detailed statistics for each metric when needed.

DriveClue saves history right on your machine so you can track health trends, temperature, the amount of data written, and SSD wear over time. Additionally, the app includes a capacity analysis tool to locate large files and folders, check read/write speeds, view device statistics and error logs, run self-tests on supported ATA drives, generate reports, and send alerts when the drive's condition worsens. You can also quickly check the status from the menu bar without needing to open the main window.

This product is suitable for Mac users who want to proactively protect their data, monitor SSD/HDD health, diagnose unusual signs, or find out why their machine is running out of space. DriveClue supports macOS 14 and above on both Apple Silicon and Intel. Historical data is stored locally, no account is needed, there is no telemetry, and no drive information is sent outside. The project is free, released under the GPLv3 license, and the source code is publicly available for the community to review, contribute, or build the application themselves.
