Unikorn is where Vietnamese makers launch products and get real feedback from the community. Rankings come from users' votes and activity, so every account needs to act honestly. These rules apply to products, comments, reviews, Talks, collections and messages.
1. Respect others
- Critique products and ideas, and avoid personal attacks.
- No harassment, threats, discrimination or abusive language.
- Do not post other people's personal information without their consent.
- Do not impersonate other people, other makers or the Unikorn team.
2. Useful feedback
- When something falls short, say specifically what and, if you can, suggest a fix.
- Star ratings should reflect your actual experience with the product.
- If you are connected to a product (team member, friend, investor), say so when you comment or review.
3. Submitting products
- Submit only products you built or are authorised to represent. If you list someone else's product, its maker can ask to claim it.
- Describe the product's features, price and current state accurately.
- Do not submit a product that is already on Unikorn.
- Do not submit products that break Vietnamese law, contain malware, are scams or infringe intellectual property.
4. Honest voting
Upvotes, comments and reviews all generate points and affect the rankings. So the following are prohibited:
- Using several accounts to upvote, comment on or review the same product.
- Buying, selling or trading upvotes, or forming groups that upvote each other.
- Using bots, scripts or automated tools to vote, comment or create accounts.
- Posting short, repetitive or off-topic comments just to earn points.
- Asking people to upvote in exchange for money, gifts or other benefits.
How vote weight and levels work is public, so everyone can see where points come from.
5. Self-promotion in the right place
- Sharing your product link elsewhere to invite real users to take a look is fine.
- Do not paste your product link into comments on other products or into unrelated Talks.
- Do not send mass messages to advertise.
- Talks are for discussion. Posts that exist only to advertise may be removed.
6. Reporting
If you see content or an account that breaks these rules, follow the steps on Report abuse or email [email protected] with the link and a short description.
7. Consequences
Depending on severity, Unikorn may take one or more of these actions:
- A reminder or warning.
- Removing content, or rejecting or hiding a product.
- Reclaiming points earned through manipulation. The offending account's upvotes and comments are deleted, and the points those actions gave other users or products are reclaimed too.
- Resetting the account's points to zero and hiding it from leaderboards.
- Suspending the account.
- Locking a maker's Unikorn wallet, as described in the Payment Policy.
- Reporting to the authorities when the conduct breaks the law.
