Does Unikorn cost anything?
No. Creating an account, browsing, upvoting, joining Talks and submitting products are all free. The only money that goes through Unikorn is support that users choose to send to makers.
How do I create an account?
Click Sign up and use email and password, or sign in with Google or GitHub. You can browse without signing in, but you need an account to upvote, comment or submit a product.
Which products can be listed on Unikorn?
A specific tech product made by Vietnamese makers or a team with Vietnamese members: apps, websites, SaaS, developer tools, AI products, games, browser extensions, open source projects and hardware. Company pages, agency services, blog posts and job listings do not count as products. Details are in For makers.
Can I submit someone else's product?
Yes. You submit it as a hunter, and the real maker can later request to claim the product. Please do not list yourself as a maker of a product you did not build.
How are products reviewed, and how long does it take?
After you submit, an AI check scores the product for completeness, description quality and legitimacy. Clear passes can be approved right away, and everything else is reviewed by an admin. Approved products go live on the home page in the next launch at midnight. If a product is rejected, you get a notification with the reason, and you can edit it and submit it again.
How is ranking calculated?
Products are ranked by points, made up of weighted upvotes and other interactions, for each day, week, month and year. The exact formula is on ranking.
What are points and levels for?
Points record your activity on Unikorn. They move you up levels, and your level sets your vote weight and unlocks more benefits. See points and levels.
Why do some upvotes count more than others?
Each upvote is multiplied by a weight based on the voter's level. This keeps rankings close to what active members think and makes them harder to game with fresh accounts. The weight for each level is on vote weight.
How does buying a maker a coffee work?
If a maker has turned on support, you pick an item on their profile and pay with VietQR through SePay. Once the payment is confirmed, the money goes into the maker's Unikorn wallet. Fees, limits and the refund policy are in the payment policy.
How do makers withdraw their support?
The maker adds a bank account in the support section of the dashboard, then creates a withdrawal request from their wallet. An admin processes the request and transfers the money to that account. The minimum withdrawal and other conditions are in the payment policy.
Who is Uni?
Uni is Unikorn's AI assistant. Uni hands out daily tasks and shares tips on using Unikorn. Read more on the Uni page.
Does Unikorn have an API?
Yes. Unikorn has an API and an MCP server for developers who want to connect Unikorn to their own tools. See the developer docs.
What data does Unikorn collect about me?
Unikorn stores your account details, the content you post and the data needed for payments and withdrawals. The full list, the processors involved and your rights are in the privacy policy.
