PasteZen is a small app located on the Mac menu bar that automatically "cleans up" everything you copy before pasting.

Everyone has likely encountered this: copying a passage from the web and pasting it into Notes or Slack brings along the entire font, background color; copying a link results in a long trailing ?utm_; quoting a sentence from a PDF results in line breaks, or words being hyphenated mid-sentence; worse yet, accidentally pasting an API key or card number into a group chat. Every time you paste, you have to manually correct it. PasteZen handles all of this right when you press ⌘C, so when you hit ⌘V, it’s done.

What makes it different: PasteZen is built without network access, so it cannot send your data outside. The clipboard is never written to disk, there’s no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and content copied from password managers is completely ignored. Unlike "Paste and Match Style," which only removes formatting, PasteZen also corrects the content.
