I have a rather "professional" dual monitor setup:

27-inch monitor: ChatGPT, Zalo, browser, email, and all sorts of communication channels.
Secondary monitor: Codex — where AI is quietly writing code and occasionally needs me to check in.

Sounds very productive.

In reality, not quite.

Each time Codex needs interaction, I turn to the secondary monitor. Then turn back to the 27-inch monitor. Codex continues running. A few minutes later I turn back. Then return.

Sometimes to see clearly I even drag Codex over to the main screen and then back...

After a day of working, I realize my neck is also participating in the workflow.

Turn left.
Bend down.
Turn back.
Repeat.

At some point, I started to wonder: why do I have to turn my head to the screen with the work, instead of bringing the work to the screen right in front of me?

Thus, ScreenSwap was born.

When I need to work with Codex, it only takes one action to move the windows from the secondary monitor to the 27-inch monitor. The windows that are on the main screen will move to the other screen. When finished, I swap back.

No dragging each window.
No rearranging the workspace.
No playing the game of “finding out where the window just disappeared to”.
And most importantly: my neck gets a break from the role of window manager.

ScreenSwap is a macOS utility that allows for quick workspace swapping between two monitors while maintaining the relative position and size of the windows.

It was created for Mac users with dual monitors, particularly for developers, designers, people working with AI coding agents, or anyone who frequently has to shift focus between the main and secondary screens.

The idea is very simple:

Two monitors to get more work done.
One screen to ease the burden on your neck.
