When I read an interesting passage or learn something new, I really enjoy noting it down in my notes app. When saving, I find it very useful and also quite enjoyable because I've just learned something new.

But then, after a few weeks, when I return to that note, I can still read it
but I no longer remember why I made that note. What was the context at that time?
How is this passage related to my other notes? Or is it simply that when I read it, I found it interesting, so I saved it, and then never used it again?

I tried using a few highlight extensions so I wouldn't have to copy content back and forth between different apps. This method is more convenient, but after some time, I still encounter the old problem. Notes are in a separate list, while the original web page is in a different place. Sometimes when I return to the page, the note position has shifted because the page layout changed or because I opened it on a different sized screen.

That’s why I started developing Spatra. Currently, I can use Spatra for the following tasks:

• Highlight a piece of text, write a note right next to that section, or use a pencil to circle and draw directly on the web page or PDF file I'm reading. When reloading the page, Spatra will find the content I previously marked instead of just remembering a fixed position on the screen.
• Search and organize notes by topic in the dashboard, review past edits, and navigate back to the original webpage to read the entire context surrounding the note.
• Link a note with other related notes. For example, when taking notes about new knowledge but recalling that I previously read similar content on another page, I can connect those two notes together. When needed, I can click on the link to reopen the correct note and the page that contains that content.
• Enable cloud sync to continue using notes on other devices without having to manually transfer data back and forth between my devices.
• Share a page or a topic of notes for others to view. If the recipient also uses Spatra and finds that content useful, they can apply the shared notes to their extension instead of having to copy each section manually.

Currently, Spatra is available on Chrome and Edge.
