Developers are not lacking in API Clients. But they are lacking an API Workflow Platform.

Recently, AI has helped IT professionals create many interesting products. Every day, new applications are being launched, ranging from financial management, task management, CRM, AI Assistants, to all kinds of SaaS.

But as a Backend Developer, I always wonder:

How many products are actually built to help Developers work more efficiently?

We already have many great API Clients like Postman, Bruno, Insomnia...

These tools solve the problems of sending requests, debugging, and testing each API very well.

But as the project gets larger, especially with microservices architecture, the question is no longer:

Is this API running?

But rather:

Is the entire business workflow functioning correctly?

For example, a simple flow:

Login
   ↓
Get Access Token
   ↓
Create Customer
   ↓
Create Order
   ↓
Payment
   ↓
Notification
   ↓
Verify Result

This is the process that Backend Developers, QA, or Solution Architects have to go through every day.

At this point, I began to encounter familiar issues:

• The collections are becoming increasingly numerous and very hard to manage.
• I have to write JavaScript to pass data between requests.
• To perform end-to-end testing, I need to configure quite a lot of things.
• There’s no visual execution history for each workflow.
• It’s hard to compare two runs to see the differences.
• Sharing a test process with teammates is not straightforward.

And if I want to observe the entire flow after deployment, I have to combine several observability tools like Grafana, Datadog...

Each tool does its part well, but I still haven't found a place focused on API Workflow.

That's why I started building TryFio.

Initially, it was just a tool to serve my daily tasks.

But after nearly 3 months of solo development, when using it in real projects, I realized this could be something that many Developers also need.

TryFio was not created to replace Postman or Bruno.

On the contrary, I regard them as fantastic tools.

What I want to build is a missing layer above API Clients — where Developers can design, execute, manage, and collaborate on the entire API Workflow, instead of just sending individual HTTP requests.
