I am a technology enthusiast, so I frequently read news on websites and social media. Whenever I come across a good article, I often take a screenshot to share on Facebook, Threads, or X.

During that process, I noticed an inconvenience: regular screenshot tools often crop the selected area, easily capturing extra surrounding parts, which looks quite messy and unappealing.

Therefore, I decided to code a Chrome extension called CapAnything to precisely address this need. After using it for a while and finding it quite convenient, I want to share it so that everyone can use it:

Main features of CapAnything:

1. Capture the exact component: Select one or more components on the open webpage and press capture — no worries about capturing extra borders.

2. Automatic beautification: Automatically insert artistic backgrounds and neatly round the corners of the images. Add a watermark.

3. AI Content Integration: Automatically generate optimized captions for each platform (FB, Threads, X, Instagram...) so it's ready to post right away.

The project is 100% open source. If any developers/builders have suggestions or discover bugs, please create a PR to support me!

(Note: Currently, the extension is under review on the Chrome Web Store; I will update the installation link as soon as it is approved).
