MlemStick started from a very small thing: sometimes we want to respond to a message with our own face and emotions, but cannot find a sticker that truly fits. The available sticker sets, although beautiful and fun, still portray an image of a stranger character.

From that inconvenience, MlemStick was born with a simple idea: to turn a portrait photo into a whole set of stickers with personal touches. Users just need to select a photo, choose a desired style and language; AI will create 16 stickers with various expressions, poses, and phrases. Then, users can keep the ones they like, save them to their device, add them to WhatsApp, or share on chat applications. I think this project will bring a rather fresh personalized experience.

What MlemStick offers is not just convenience. I know many of you will already know how to use ChatGPT to upload photos and get similar stickers. Well, that's true. But you will have to find prompts yourself and use software to edit the stickers together. Therefore, I think this application will still have its space. The application makes familiar conversations closer, funnier, and richer in emotions. Instead of borrowing a character to speak for oneself, users can now become the sticker in their own story.

MlemStick does not attempt to change the way people communicate. The application just makes each conversation more "authentically me" — starting from a photo, ending with very personal emotions.
