The Family app is a management application for Vietnamese family and lineage life, usable on the web and iOS; the Android version is currently in closed testing. There are two types of users, both of whom are suited for Family.

For those who maintain the family tree and manage family affairs: family information is often scattered. The family tree is recorded on paper or resides in the memories of older individuals, the death anniversary must be calculated according to the lunar calendar, and family discussions happen through chat groups and then fade away. Family gathers everything in one place for many members to update together.

For descendants living away from their hometown, young people who are not familiar with their relatives: visiting the hometown for death anniversaries or weddings and not knowing whether a person is an uncle or a great-uncle, not knowing how to address them, or what day the grandparents' death anniversary is. No worries, just open the family tree to see; the app displays how to address according to your own position and reminds you of the death anniversary according to the lunar calendar so you don't forget. Thanks to family members who set it up beforehand, you only need to receive an invitation link to participate.

Family data is sensitive information, so Family makes the following clarifications:

• Only invited family members can view it. Viewing rights are according to different family spaces and each piece of information; family data is not sold and is not used for targeted advertising.
• Adding from the contact list is optional and only runs after you consent directly at that feature. The contact list is read directly on the device, not uploaded to servers; only when you press to add a person will that person's name be saved, as if you typed it yourself.
• Recording Memories (voice narrations from grandparents or parents) is saved on the device by default; it will only be uploaded when you actively share it with the entire family.
• You can download all your data (on the web, in the Settings section), and request account deletion directly within the app. There is a 7-day period to change your mind before processing. Some content contributed by multiple people within the family will be retained in an anonymous form.
• Logging out will delete the encrypted local database on your device.

How to start: go to nguoinha.com, create an account, set up the family lineage, and then invite relatives to join via a link. iPhone users can install the app from the App Store or try the new version through TestFlight. The app is free.
