Tolkora is a browser extension that translates videos into Vietnamese while you are watching.

Many videos on Douyin, Bilibili, YouTube, and livestreams in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean do not have Vietnamese subtitles, forcing viewers to wait for someone to create subtitles or upload the video to another tool. Tolkora listens to the audio of the video and uses AI to translate it into Vietnamese in real-time, even for videos without subtitles.

How to get started: install the extension for Chrome, Cốc Cốc, Edge, or Firefox from tolkora.com, click Agree on the welcome page, then open a video on Douyin, Bilibili, YouTube, or Twitch. No account creation is necessary. Tolkora only listens to the audio of the video on the page you have opened and does not save the audio.

What sets it apart: Tolkora translates directly from the audio of the video, so there is no need for videos to have pre-existing subtitles, and it runs directly on the page you are viewing without needing to download the video anywhere. Names of people and places retain their Han-Viet pronunciation.

Currently in beta: there is a daily allowance of free usage, and those who need more are charged only for the API costs.
