Screenshot is the next extension in the Lumi ecosystem. This utility helps you take screenshots and edit images quickly with features that I think are just enough: draw rectangles, circles, text, arrows, blur…; recognize text in images (OCR); and quickly cover sensitive information like emails or phone numbers accidentally included in the screenshot.

⌨️ One key to screenshot

• ⌘⇧2: capture a selection
• ⌥⌘⇧2: capture a window
• ⌘⇧1: capture the entire screen
• ⌥⌘⇧1: capture the frontmost window
• ⌘⇧0: review the recently taken screenshots

After taking a screenshot, you choose the next step: open the editor, display a preview card in the corner of the screen, or copy or save directly.

✏️ The editor
It has arrows, frames, circles, a freehand pen, a highlighter, text, speech balloons, and step numbering. Spotlight darkens everything, leaving only the part you want the viewer to focus on. You can crop images to aspect ratios, rotate, flip, and the drawn lines will rotate with the image.

Add a gradient or solid color background, adjust border width. The images are rounded and shadowed, looking like designed graphics without needing to open any additional app.

🔤 Text recognition
Select the text directly on the image and press ⌘C, or press ⌘⇧9 to capture and read the text immediately. With just one click, blur all emails and phone numbers found in the image. Text reading runs directly on Mac.

⚡ A few small utilities

• Drag and drop images straight into Slack, your browser, or Finder
• Open multiple images at once in tabs, each image retains its own drawn elements

🧩 Install one app and you have a whole toolbox
My goal is to build an application store for Lumi: you just need to install one single app, all the tools needed for work are readily available in the Store. Screenshot is one of them.

📥 Installation

1. Download and install Lumi from https://lumikeys.app
2. Click the Lumi icon in the menu bar, open Settings, go to Extensions, find Screenshot in Extension Store, and then install it.
